Donut

Throughout history, there have been an abundance of ridiculous speeches made by political figures. The Iraqi Minister of Information, Mohammad Saeed al-Sahhaf could barely open his mouth without making a fool of himself. The tabloids aptly nicknamed him Comical Ali.
At present, David Cameron is doing his best to give him a run for his money. However, The Americans still hold the title with the classic JFK speech in Berlin. Ich bin ein Berliner. The most powerful man in the world described himself as a donut.
It could of been worse. He could have been in Paris. To the Germans, a Pariser is a condom.

    3. Also, in Germany, condoms are known by many names, as in most countries. One of these names is Pariser.

    1. I'll be voting UKIP, despite what the newspapers say about them. They must be worrying the other parties to receive such a bashing.

  6. Even though I did not know that a Berliner was a doughnut, I always thought it was a stupid speech. A slap in the face to the allies that had fought the war. I understand about the cold war and the Berlin airlift, but I thought this was going too far.

  7. So this means I can suck the jam out of a Berliner and it would not be frowned upon?

  11. FYI; as an occupant of the 60' and drafted in '66 ____it was good 'ole Texan _Lyndon Banes Johnson (LBJ)__ who actually promoted the Viet Nam conflict__ (it was NOT a declared war as the ignorant and uninformed IDIOTS seem to be stuck on saying) I lived it and recall the whole era like it was yesterday,,,,you FOOLS talking SMACK need to get SMACKED

  12. LBJ may have promoted the Vietnam conflict, but JFK followed blindly. Thousands of Americans died because he didn't have the balls to pull out at the first opportunity.
