Dragons' Den

I love the television programme Dragons' Den. It never ceases to amaze me, some of the crack pot ideas that people come up with in a futile attempt to gain wealth and glory. Be it crash helmets for cats or shopping trolleys with headlights, there is always some lunatic seeking a fortune against the odds. Long may it continue.

I'm not short of the odd idea myself. Consequently, here's one I would like to pitch. Have you ever noticed that penguins never seem to suffer from cold feet, despite walking around on ice all day? Forget about thermal insoles. How about penguin shoes? Penguins come in all shapes and sizes, from little Rock Hopper penguins to the much larger Emperor penguins. No matter what your shoe size, there is a penguin to fit.

  3. I believe there is a flaw... the reason penguins don't get cold feet is because THEIR feet are made if REALLY tough stuff... so we would have to make shoes out of penguins FEET and not their fur and feathers... so... Penguin Feet Shoes (or PFS to the texters!!)

    1. The bodies of penguins can also stand freezing conditions, so I can't see the flaw.

    2. I was sitting on the train back to Waterloo the other afternoon and I saw some Tower Blocks... which made me think... Surely the BEST way to hide nuclear or long range missile silos is to disguise them and make them look, for example, like 'squarish' tower blocks...
They have pointy rooves (which disguise the pointy bit at the top of the missiles) and can be as tall as required...
This way they can be 'hidden' in plain view in built up areas with no problems!!
Do you think the Dragons will go for it?

    3. POSSIBLY... but I'm sure Eskimoes might venture south once in a while.... more likely than penguins traipsing ALL the way north...and don't forget, they can't fly (penguins that is... eskimoes can use a plane)
