Scottish Independence

The big vote is almost upon us. Both sides are neck and neck, with the outcome uncertain. Although the Daily Star has proclaimed that the Scots will gain their independence as they featured a picture a piece of chicken, purchased from KFC, that was shaped like mainland Britain with Scotland missing.
Most people will mostly likely vote according to how they feel the outcome will effect them personally. Buckfast's decision to pull out of Scotland, should they gain independence, could have a major impact on the outcome of the referendum.
Whilst transvestites have always felt welcome in Scotland and would probably support independence.
I'm more interested in how it affects us down here in England. Will we be able to send all of our resident Jocks back north of Hadrian's Wall? Will we be able to send the rest of the Gingers packing with them?
It's not as though Scottish women are easy on the eye!
Despite all this, my biggest concern is how can we get rid of Wales. We've had their coal. We've had their gold. They're just costing us money now. Just think, if we can get rid of Scotland and Wales, we will go from being Great Britain to Awesome Britain!

  6. Idi Amin is dead. They'll have to find a new king. Plenty of other mad dictators to choose from.

  7. It's really electric up here at the moment. People everywhere are talking to each other and every conversation seems to be able to bring this referendum in to it. There are events in every city and town, even if its just stalls giving out info there is a real buzz. But only the Yes voters are having any fun ! the No voters have a negative message and to be fair have only really came out in the last week to shout and having a nagative message is hard so I feel for them. But the Yes voters are all dressing up and open air concerts, light displays, marches and all kinds of different groups getting excited. I hope this changes the country for good and I certainly would not miss one moment of sleep if the tories lost the UK on their watch. good nigh and keep yessing :)

    1. I hope it stays peaceful. It would be a terrible way to start a new country if it all starts with violence and fighting.

  11. The Queen of England is Scottish ! Its great drama for us all to see. For when she came to scotland in 52 we expected a pageant but she wore a frock instead. Give us the royal seal and we will love her.

  16. Hi I'm so glad to get the chance to speak to you all again. Listen and without a word of exageration - we have had an awakening up this neck of the woods. The greatest particiaption in the democratic process these Isles have ever seen. Their calling it grass roots democracy " the grass roots revolution "! the Tartan Revolution is upon us people. I have felt it - civic national pride - I mean walking down the street and feeling a part of the person next you the feeling of being Scots and taking the power to make society just and fairer. The map of politics is changing here in the uk. The English mps are want shot of scots mps in WM understandably so. Lets face it we dont want your power and you dont want ours. So is it full home rule we get? I wish as a scot for dissolution of the union by mutual consent. I want to visit england and embrace Island neighbours not overlords - davy cameron and the party leaders have promised scotland more powers - if they renege on that promise, a promise that to be sure won them the narrow margin of victory then it's over with betrayal, Rather it was over by consent. Let this country go else ! Yours faithfull in all communion gerry gallacher a scot.
